He made this appeal when they converged at Brookfields to receive their usual annual traditional gifts from the Multi Religious Council.

Presenting the gifts which included clothes, money and prayer mats, Bishop Cole buttressed the fact that disability does not imply inability. He observed that disabled persons have served as prominent people in the Sierra Leone community, which, according to him, underscores the importance Government attaches towards promoting their potential and welfare. He revealed that Parliamentarians and the Freetown City Council intend to do more to alleviate their plight especially in the areas of housing and feeding.

Receiving the gift items on behalf of his colleagues, the Chairman, Mr. Brima Lahai Tangabay of Rawdon Street in Freetown thanked members of the Multi Religious Council for their tireless efforts to foster religious tolerance in the country. He used the opportunity to commend the donors for the kind gesture.

Mr. Alpha Kamara who gave the vote of thanks referred to Bishop Cole as a true patriot and a man of integrity whose benevolent examples must be emulated by others in society.
