SLPP Convention Postponed?

It must be summed up that Dr. Bu-Buakei Jabbie is among 19 SLPP aspirants competing for leadership.

Even though Dr. Bu-Buakei Jabbie is said to have filed additional papers at the Supreme Court, it is scary that the Supreme Court might impose an injunction on the conduct of SLPP’s March 5th convention.

It could be recalled that original papers sent to the Supreme Court have to be looked at for 21 days, and by indications, this falls on March 7th; two days after commencement of the convention.

It is contemplated that officials of Supreme Court may put a ban on the commencement of SLPP’s convention slated for March 5th.

Although the SLPP denies receiving any correspondence from the court, sources say persons holding executive positions have had time putting things to order in preparation for the unfailing March 5th convention.

Sources say that the Chairman of SLPP, John O. Benjamin, has had structures put in place in defense of complaint allegedly forwarded by Dr. Bu-Buakei Jabbie.

That John Benjamin disapproves Dr. Bu-Buakei Jabbie’s claims against the SLPP as uncalled for and unfounded.

Findings have revealed that in 2005, Dr. Bu-Bukei Jabbie took the SLPP to court upon the instruction of the late Chief Hinga Norman.

By then, the SLPP convention was at the corner (19th and 20th August).

Interviews conducted exposes conduct of Dr. Bu-Buakei.

Some SLPP members tagged him as a betrayal and one who’s being used by opponent political parties.

It must be noted that at the disclosure of Dr. Bu-Buakei Jabbie’s court action, many of whom supporting him quickly transferred same to opponent aspirants.
