Nasser Ayoub donates 6.5 KVA Generator to Strasser Initiative

Popular businessman, activist and philanthropist Nasser Ayoub  (in photo) has donated a brand new 6.5kva generator to an initiative by former Head of State, Rtd. Capt. Valetine Esegrabo Melvin Strasser.

Ayoub’s donation is a response to an appeal, which was earlier made by the former Head of State for individuals and organizations to help him set up a resource center at Grafton, on the outskirts of Freetown.

Speaking during the official handing over of the 6.5kva generator to Strasser and the people of Grafton last week, the proprietor of Hotel Africanus said he is proud to associate himself with the Resource Center initiative of  Rtd. Capt Strasser.

“Sierra Leone needs such initiative, Sierra Leone needs ideas and it is only when we come together we will be able to change the face of this country,” Ayoub said. He added: “His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has called on all Sierra Leoneans to change their attitude and learn to support each. I believe this donation today falls under such.”

Nasser Ayoub said: “Nothing is too small to give and therefore I am giving this 6.5kva generator to the resource center, how I wish I can do better than this.”

Ayoub also appealed, “I want to use this opportunity to ask individuals, organizations, Non-govermental organizations to support this initiative. Nothing is too small to give. It’s not about me, it’s not about the Capt., Let’s do it for the land that we all Love Mama Salone.

Strasser on his part thanked Nasser Ayoub for the generator and also Murtala Mohamed Kamara for raising awareness on the issue. He promised that the generator would be used for the intended purpose. He further spoke on what the center will offer to Sierra Leoneans when it is fully set up.
