Genuine reports just confirmed to Sierra Express Media indicate that AIK Solna start player, Mohamed Poboshy Bangura will not be making the Sierra Leone under 23 team Sierra Stars after the Sierra Leone Football authorities failed to buy his ticket to join the rest of his teammates in the Liberian capital of Monrovia.

It is also confirmed that the FA asked the player to buy his own ticket and that they will refund him after the match … same old SLFA. Meanwhile a senior representative from the FA is saying the player will be in the squad as they are still trying to send him his ticket.

Another close report just reaching Sierra Express Media has stated the Sierra Leone national U-23 team will leave Freetown today Tuesday 14 Dec for their second round qualifying encounter for the 2012 Olympics Games in London.

In recent days head Coach Jebbor Sherrington has invited eight foreign-based players in Freetown, some of whom are on vacation, to boost up his squad for this all important second leg.

Enosis midfielder, Abdul Rahman Kamara from Cyprus has just confirmed that he will be joining his teammates in Liberia in a bid to qualify for the tournament’s next stage.

All eyes are on Sherrington and his tough squad to knockout the Liberians on their home soil. The squad includes Trelleborg defender ‘Marcel’ Koroma, AIK’s new signing Ibrahim ‘Tetteh’ Bangura, Alusine ‘Baggio’ Kamara, and Musa Sesay who are from lower division clubs.

The first leg was played October 8, 2010 in Freetown and the match ended 1-1, however. Sierra Leone was knocked out in this same stage of the competition in Rwanda for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
