An Inspector of police (name withheld) revealed how escapees of the Pademba prison engaged his mobile phone, threatening to kill police officers should an attempt to arrest them is made.

“Ishmael Deen Mansaray aka ‘Tigana’, on a phone call threatened to kill any police officer attempting to arrest him and his colleagues,” a police Inspector said.

“Tigana also revealed that he was by the seaside preparing to make his way out. That he will have no hesitation killing any police that confront him.”

Very recently, 19 detainees were reported to have escaped from lawful custody at the Central Prison.

Of the 19, are 6 notorious armed robbers, all of whom, we are told, had their way out; using pistols to bulldoze officers on duty.

Although arrests are said to have been made by the police, Tigana and few others are yet to be located.

Sources say 5 of the 19 escapees have had busy days, calling on mobile phones of officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, threatening to kill them should they continue their hunt to whisk them (escapees).

It must be noted that escape of prisoners from the Central Prison saw the spontaneous and unconditional sacking of the Director of Prison, Mr. Moses Showers by the Vice President of Sierra Leone.
