TODDA expresses concern over violence in Kemedugu

Tonkolili District Descendants Association (TODDA), today expressed concern over the recent spate of violence in the district especially the township of KEMEDUGU, and called on our people to exercise restraint.

We condemn last week’s violence wholeheartedly without any reservation. Such horrendous act against defenseless civilians in Kemedugu is a complete violation of human rights.

Tonkolili district  descendants association is non political, non partisan, and a community based organization operating predominately in the Tonkolili district. It seeks to improve the standard of health, welfare and education, and it aims to promote better cooperation, consciousness and unity between the people of Tonkolili and those in the country.

What we saw last week was an expression of injustice. We urged the government to carry an immediate investigation as soon as possible.

The people of Tonkolili district are more united than ever.

TODDA, is committed to work with the government and any existing development organization which seeks to the rebuilding of our district.

Abubakar Kamara, Chairman, TODDA
