Two in Court for Le8m

Baimba Kamara and Jessie Messine Grant 26th October made their first appearance in court on three count charges of conspiracy to defraud, causing money to be paid by false and forgery and untiring forged document from one Patrick Pearce.

However the suspects on the 16th September 2010 in Freetown reportedly obtained the sum of $159,000 which is equivalent to the sum of eight million Leones from the complainant falsely pretending that they had three hundred kilogram of gold dust for sale.

The complainant Patrick Pearce, who has lived in the USA for over 20 years was in the US when he got a call from someone in London who told him on the phone that he wanted him to engage in the gold and diamond business which he agreed to and flew into Freetown to do his first business and where he eventually met the accused persons who offered the gold dust for sale. Pearce later travelled together with the suspects to Ghana for the gold to be tested and discovered it to be fake and sadly for him the suspects absconded in Ghana and came back to Freetown where they were later arrested and taken to the CID.

According to our source were refused bail and the matter is adjoined until tomorrow.
