Controversy… Coach Cole left Kallon, Jarret & Kei out

Sierra Leone head Coach Christian Cole has named 16 professionals so far for the 2012 Afcon qualifiers in Freetown but left out big name stars for this all important clash.

Poboshy - IN

The former Inter Milan and Monaco striker Mohamed Kallon’s name is not included amongst players that will take on 2010 World Cup host South Africa on October 10th.

Also not included is Lincoln City winger Albert Jarret and Kansas City Wizards hitman Kei Kamara, both players were in his squad that held the African Champions in Cairo.

Barlay - IN

Former Inter Milan and Sierra Leone Star’s striker Mohamed Kallon a few days ago blew up the Sierra Leone Football Association President Nahim Khadi and local coach Christian Cole through BBC sport for their decision not to include him in the Leone Stars squad. He proclaims they want to end his career as they see him as a threat.

Sierra Leone will be going into this encounter as the favourite considering the last result between the two sides when they locked horns 14 June 2008, with South Africa losing the match 1-0 in a WC/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Sierra Express Media understands both Jarret and Kei were not included for this match due to suspension from the Sierra Leone Football Association, SEM made effort to contact both players but to non avail. They were replaced by Ibrahim ‘Tetteh’ Bangura who has just signed for AIK Solna in Sweden, and Alfred Sankoh from the Norwegian football league.

Strasser - IN
