Maseray’s wedding goes to court

The most celebrated wedding in Sierra Leone between midget Maseray and Mohamed Alghali after a year ago has surprisingly ended in court, according to information made available to Sierra Express Media. (Photo: Mohamed and wife Maseray on wedding day)

Responding to questions on Good Morning Salone on Radio Democracy 98.1 FM on Friday 9th July 2010, Alghali said that he indeed loved his 3 feet tall wife but her behaviour in recent times has been very disappointing.

First of all, Maseray has returned to her former boy friend with whom she already had a son. That guy used to beat and molest Maseray a lot; so I wonder why she decided to go back,  Alghali said.

Alghali further claimed that he regularly provides money for food but Maseray never cooks and instead uses the money to buy cookery for him daily.

I overlooked all that because I wanted to avoid palaver. But worst of it all my wife has left her marital home,  lamented Alghali.

He said he has approached family elders, including an Imam, to talk to her wife but Maseray will abuse anyone who attempted to approach her.

In spite of all these, Alghali said he still loves her wife so much.

I married Maseray out of love and sympathy and I still love her. But now that things are getting out of hand I am prepared to divorce her if she asks for one, said Alghali.

Meanwhile, Maseray, yesterday 12th July 2010 reacted in similar manner in the same program, describing Mohamed’s allegations as baseless.

She went on: this whole episode started after I gave him $1,000 to buy goods in Guinea after our wedding. Instead he bought junk clothes.

She further claimed that she takes care of her husband and can no longer bear with the beating and molestation she has been getting from him.
